Summer Holidays

I HATE SUMMER but I love holidays! I love going to the beach or just stay at home with nothing to do. Of course for me it didn’t last long because with a child you always have to do stuff hahaha so is hard to rest a whole day, but also it makes happy to take my daughter to different places or make plans that I know she will enjoy. My best holidays I think that were in the summer of 2021, after a long time of confinement it was very nice to go to the beach and have fresh (covid) air. We went to Guanaqueros and we had such s good time! We all came back happier and rested after those vacations.  When covid is over I would like to travel, anywhere! I have never travelled to other country and I would love to, I would like to make a I tour to Europe, but if I go to the Caribbean, I don't get angry either lol you know something simple hahahah. I would be so happy in an all inclusive hotel, I just pictured myself drinking a mojito at the side of the pool hahaha. When I was at school ...

GPOY

Imagen
Hi! Today there is GPOY hahaha on this pic I’m doing what I used to do before studying chemistry and pharmacy, make up ✨ until the pandemic I was a make up artist, and I was super into it! But unfortunately because of COVID I had to stop working and I started thinking about how uncertain is working in the art area (I always knew it but now it was a limit situation). With that in mind, I decided to give the PDT and go to college, so here I am. I love make up so much and I was very passionated about it. What I like the most was doing make up for photo shoots and publicity, I had a lot of jobs of that type.  My favorite type of make up was editorial, I really liked doing art with make up. I wasn’t very into make up for social events like graduations or brides, I did it just for the money lol hahaha. Sometimes I miss being a make up artist, although I always felt that there was something missing. Since I was a child I love science, so I used to feel like I wasn’t developing an im...

Postgraduate studies

Hello! Today I will talk about my future postgraduate studies. I am currently studying chemistry and pharmacy, so I would take a course related to my career. So far (and speaking very forward because I am in my second semester) I am interested in a master's degree in pharmaceutical sciences because it is focused on professionals who want to dedicate themselves to research and innovation, and that is what I would like to do in the future (for now lol). I would also like to leave Chile and study in another country, and hopefully never come back hahaha just kidding, but I would really love to have that experience! I promised myself that I would work very hard to make this happen. I'd probably prefer a part-time course because I want to work too, and online! This is an unpopular opinion, but I like online school lol because sometimes I have a lot to do and it gives me more flexibility to do everything. I'm a mom so I really appreciate the time off and the possibility to organi...

My future job

Imagen
Currently I’m studying chemistry and pharmacy, and when I finish, I would like to work in research and teaching. I really see myself in a laboratory working as scientist, doing research and developing meds or vaccines that could help people. But also I see myself as a teacher. Since always I’ve had the calling to teach, and I think I would be good at it (humbly speaking lol) and dedicated to my hypothetical students. I would loooove to travel because of my work. I know people who have won scholarships to research in other countries and I think that is so exciting! I mean, investigate in another country with everything paid? Count me in please hahaha. Traveling and meeting other colleagues from other parts of the world and have the opportunity to work with them or with eminences in the field must be so rewarding. The thing is that to achieve that you have to study soooo hard, because is very difficult to be choose for this programs given that people are selected based on their grade...

My fav food 🍣🍔🍟🧁🍫

Imagen
Well to be honest, I love food in general. I mean, I love eating at a restaurant, or order food and watch something on the TV or inviting friends and share a meal. To me, food is a total must when it comes to do something fun hahaha.  My fav food… I would say sushi 🍣! It’s so yummy and tasty, and it has a lot of variety, I think that is one of the things I like the most about sushi hahaha my favorite type are the ones that are of shrimp 🍤  and cream cheese wrapped in a avocado 🥑, I like to eat it with soy and teriyaki sauce.  Sushi has a lot of preparation, first you have to wash the rice and take off all the starch, then cook it and season it with rice vinegar, sugar and salt. Then you have to cook the ingredients if need, spread the rice on the makisu (the mat where the roll is mold) and put the chosen filling over the rice and roll!  If we talk about health, there are more healthy choices obviously hahaha, but if you want to eat sushi in a healthy way yo...

The Cringe 🥵

Last year in 2020, when my daughter Violeta was 3 years old, we went to the park near our apartment. The building where we used to live was very, very old, so many older people lived there too, and a lot of the seniors had no limbs or were in a wheelchair.  So, we were down at the lobby of the building, and a man that didn’t have one of his legs pass by next to us. It was the first time that my daughter saw a person who was missing a limb, and she was very surprised, I still can remember her face! I realized how intrigued she was and in my mind I was like “please don’t say anything loud”, but of course, she did. She started asking something like “where is his paw?” And yes, she said PAW, not even leg. She kept asking innocently, so I told her quietly to stop asking that so loud, and she responded louder “BUT WHERE IS HIS PAW??!”. I was so embarrased! My face was red and I felt so bad for that person. But also I knew she was just asking by curiosity, and fortunately he understood it...
